Take charge of your library account! You can search for items, request items from other libraries, reserve and renew items all from the comfort of your own home.

Accessing your library account is quick and easy:

First, click on the "My Account" in the sidebar.

This will take you to a login page on SWAN where you enter your name, library card number and PIN in the blanks. If you have not established a PIN, leave the PIN box empty and click on "Submit". The computer will prompt you to establish a PIN.
That's it! If you're using a public computer, please don't forget to log out to protect your private information.

Access the Internet

Chicago Heights Public Library offers computers with broadband Internet access. 21 computers are available for 1 hour sessions.

To reserve time on a Chicago Heights Public Library Internet computer, you may call or visit the reference desk at the Library. The Library phone number is (708) 754-0323. Reservations can be made up to one day in advance.

To ensure access to as many users as possible, patrons may reserve only two 1 hour sessions per day Monday through Saturday and one 1 hour session on Sundays. However, if no reservations exist for a particular computer, one will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Limited guest-passes will be available for people without library cards until they can obtain a valid card from this library or their home library.  Guest-passes are limited to 1 hour session per day.

Printing is 10 cents a page for Black and White, 50 cents for Color.  Charging a small fee helps cover the costs of ink and paper so we can provide this service.

If you do not want to deal with the hassle of using our computers you can bring your own. Just bring in your laptop and you will be connected to the internet. You'll still need to obtain a "Internet Use Agreement" first.
