Homework Helper was created by Christopher Callahan, associate dean of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland who specializes in uses of the Internet. Homework Helper is designed to help middle school and upper-level elementary school students, and their parents, with nightly homework as well as long-term research projects.
